Our guide will share historical insights, fascinating facts, and the legends that have made this natural wonder famous over time. Additionally, if you wish, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a local breakfast featuring traditional dishes such as memelitas, tamales, and coffee (breakfast is at your own expense).
Explore the stunning petrified waterfalls of Hierve el Agua, with a 3 hour stay that allows you to enjoy the site at a relaxed pace. You will begin with a walk along the trails, where you can admire the different formations, natural springs, and panoramic views of the waterfalls. The most spectacular viewpoint is located at the base of the tallest cascade, perfect for capturing memorable photos. After the hike, you can cool off in the mineral pools, relax while taking in the scenery, or simply meditate surrounded by mountains and the natural beauty of the area.
We will visit a local restaurant where you can enjoy a buffet featuring traditional Oaxacan dishes, along with vegan options thoughtfully prepared to suit all tastes.
Explore the fascinating archaeological site of Mitla accompanied by a certified guide, who will reveal the history, secrets, and worldview of the Zapotec culture. Admire the impressive architecture of its palaces and capture unique photos of a site rich in history and tradition.
Visit Teotitlán del Valle, a town renowned for its handwoven wool rugs made using ancestral pedal loom techniques. Discover how artisans create vibrant and long-lasting colors using natural pigments derived from plants, minerals, and local insects such as cochineal, pomegranate, and indigo. This tradition, passed down from generation to generation, reflects the cultural richness of Oaxaca and a deep respect for the environment. Take the opportunity to learn about the artisanal process and bring home a unique rug directly from the hands of talented local weavers.
At this mezcal house, visitors will discover the entire mezcal production process, one of Oaxaca’s most emblematic beverages. You will learn about the different varieties of agave and observe traditional techniques such as cooking, crushing, fermentation, and distillation—methods that have remained largely unchanged for centuries. At the end, you will enjoy a tasting of different mezcals produced on-site, experiencing firsthand the authentic flavors of this Oaxacan tradition.
